How do Hybrid Vehicles work?

Many drivers enjoy the benefits of Hybrid vehicles. A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that has both electric motors and gasoline engines usually fall into one of two categories: traditional hybrids and plug-in hybrids. Hybrids (HEVs) mostly use their gasoline engine as the main fuel source, while the electric motor only really kicks in during acceleration and deceleration. A Plug-In Hybrids (PHEVs) works in the opposite way that a traditional hybrid does. It runs mostly using its electric motor and only uses the engine to provide additional power to the motor when the car is speeding up/slowing down or if the battery is dying. We offer a variety of Toyota Hybrid vehicles at Drive Autogroup and at Brimell Toyota in Scarborough.
